KATE'S POINT

Situated 3 Kms. from Venna lake to Panchgani road. From here you can clearly see the exotic view of the back waters of Krisha River and the Dhom Dam, you can also see Kamalgad , Pandavgad and Echo Point. It is one of the best places to visit in Mahabaleshwar nearby Fredrick hotel.

ARTHUR SEAT

The famous point of mahabaleshwar. The enchanting view of the barren deep valley of Savitri in Kokan on the left side and the dense forest called ‘Brahmaaranya’ of Deccan to the right along with Raigad fort and Torana fort, makes you forget everything . If the weather’s clear there are many points on this route like Tiger Spring, Echopoint , Elephinston point and many others. You can also go some distance down to the valley a small steep path leading to window point , that gives a photographic view of the breath talking valley.

ECHO POINT

A spot near Kate’s point is also known as Echo Point which can procedure more than five echos.

Needle’s Hole

At the extremity of Kate’s point , is a big rock 100 feet high, which appears to be detached , a few smaller boulders wedged between this rock and cliff from a narrow arch. The arch is known as Needle’s Hole.

LODWICK POINT

Formerly known as Sydney Point, it was renamed after a monument in honour of General Lodwick, who was raised there. He was the first European to visit Mahabaleshwar. An exhilarating view of Pratapgad and Ambenali ghat is seen from this point.

ELEPHANT HEAD

This is a plateau like to the west of Mahabaleshwar. Although the point head is hardly 12 feet wide, the steep sides have a drop of over 2,500 feet to the Koyna Valley below . When seen from Lodwick Point, this point looks like the head of an elephant from Elephant’s forehead Point, one can see Pratapgad , Javali village and the nearby Javali forest.

WILSON POINT (SUNRISE POINT)

This is the Highest point in Mahabaleshwar, situated near market. At the height of 1,435 mts. There are 3 viewing balconies situated 3 different directions. The Sunrise looks very enchanting and memorable from here, You may come here walking or can book ponies , taxis or tourist cars to reach the destination.

CONNAUGHT PEAK POINT

This is the second highest point in Mahabaleshwar, it was formerly known as Mount Olympia. The point is at a height of 1,400 mts. It is 7 kms from Mahabaleshwar’s market. You can see the sunset point, a beautiful view of the forest enveloped around. Kamalgadh, Rajgadh and Torana at north, Panchgani, Pasarani at east , Pratapgadh at west, Elphiston Point and Kshetra Mahabaleshwar at north-west.

VENNA LAKE

Situated 2 kms. from the bus stand one can get a nice view of the lake while coming from Panchagani, This is a major tourist attraction. Here you can have the pleasure of boating along with amazing food and beverage stalls. You can enjoy pony rides and relax in the cool weather.

BAGHDAD POINT

A very beautiful point situated 8 kms, from the Wilson point. A superb scenic view of the back waters of Koyana Dam, Solshi river, densely covered green mountains captivate you. This was called Baghdad point by the laborers which subsequently became Baghdad point.

LAMINGTON PLATEAU

This is at a walking distance from Ganapati Mandir. if you follow the map correctly, you will reach the plateau safely. The scenery on all sides is breathtaking.

BABINGTON POINT

It is approx. 3 kms, from main market, Makarandgadh or Saddleback and Solshi can be seen from this point. On the way to Babington point, live streams are worth visiting.

HELEN'S POINT

Helen’s Point is about a mile’s ride from the Babington point, is a delight of nature. The point is popular to various everlasting sceneries, Most amazing will be to witness river Krishna flow through small fields.

WINDOW POINT

You can go some distance down the valley by a small steep from Arthur’s seat point. This is a very popular point which offers the tourists an enchanting view of the Sahyadri ranges.

ELPHINSTONE POINT

This point rise from the Kokan. Built during the British rule, this point is named after the Governor of Bombay, Sir Elephinstone

MUMBAI POINT

You can go some distance down the valley by a small steep from Arthur’s seat point. This is a very popular point which offers the tourists an enchanting view of the Sahyadri ranges.

K'SHETRA MAHABALESHWAR

While going towards Artuther’s Sear you can come to this ancient holy place. it is situated 5 Kms. from Mahabaleshwar.

PANCHGANGA TEMPLE

The five Holy rivers Krishna, Venna, Koyana, Savitri and Gayatri combines to form one river and leads by channel flow through the ‘Goumukh’ (cow face) into Holykund(tank).

KRISHNABAI TEMPLE

This is the oldest temple built in 13th century A.D. You can see attractive lowing stones on columns and ceilings and also a panoramic view of Krishna Valley.

DHOBI WATERFALL

It was once prominently used as a washin place. It is located on the ride besides Lily cottage on the K’shetra Mahabaleshwar road.

CHINAMAN'S WATERFALL

This area was once inhabited by the Chinese prisoners of war, during the colonial rule and a majority of this site was used by them for cultivation of various European vegetables and crops.

WAX MUSEUM

The latest and major attraction in Mahabaleshwar is the wax museum that is just a km away from the Venna lake at “Meghna World”. This place offers variety of entertainment and tasty food. At Wax Museum, statues of national and international celebrities is quite amusing and worth visiting.

DR. SABANE ROAD (MARKET)

This road is considered as the heart of the town, where the market is situated . This is the only market in India that has a special pedestrian shopping road. So you can have nice walk while shopping.

Located behind Venna Lake, beautifully spread greenery and playing areas for children make this place a fun destination.
